Layla Berens: President
Hi everyone! My name is Layla and I am a first year student studying Leadership with a personal emphasis in nonprofit organizations. I started this club because I am incredibly passionate about animals and creating a happier and more loving world for them. My goals post-SDSU are to open animal shelters and to promote the importance of humane education. I look forward to sharing my passion with the SDSU community!
Citlali Romero-Santamaria: VP of Philanthropy
Hi! I am from Eden Prairie, Minnesota and a political science major on a pre-law track. I am a first year Weber Honors College student. I have had four cats throughout my life and they’ve all been my best companions. Right now, I have two kitties named Azul and Masa and they’re both 15 years old. I participate in many extracurricular activities including Pre-Law Society, Empowering Women in Law, Alpha Chi Omega Fraternity, and the executive board of Aztecs for Animals as the Vice President of Philanthropy. I am very excited to plan amazing events for this club and look forward to seeing it grow!

Hello everyone my name is Ahna Lageson and I am a first year studying public health. I’ve always loved animals, so it’s gonna be great getting to be more hands on in working with shelter animals this semester. I’m super excited for this semester with everyone!

Hello! My name is Victoria and I’m from Woodland Hills, California. I’m a first year student here at SDSU majoring in Criminal Justice and minoring in Psychology. I’ve grown up around a variety of animals, from chickens to hamsters, which has really shaped my love for them. I’m very excited to be a part of this club and I can’t wait to see the impact we can make as a community.

Hi everyone, im Elizabeth the social media manager! I am a freshman here at sdsu majoring in marine biology and a part of the weber honors college. I am so excited to be a part of this club and sharing my love for animals with everyone. Shoutout my labradoodle, Summer the dog, she is the cutest ever!
Jose Cardenas: Photographer/Videographer
Hi everyone! My name is Jose Cardenas, and I’m really happy to be serving on the Executive Board as the club’s Photographer/Videographer. I’m majoring in Film, one of my favorite movies is Y tu mamá también. I love listening to music (probably a little too much) and I can talk about pretty much anything at any time. My favorite animal is the sea otter, and when I’m not filming, I’m usually playing music. I’m excited to create and capture great moments with you all this year!
