ABOUT

Aztecs for Animals was founded in the Spring of 2026 through the passion of students who wanted to increase awareness of animal welfare and humane education on the San Diego State campus.

As our organization grows, our goals continue to evolve. From volunteering and fundraising for local shelters and rescues to bringing animal-related opportunities directly to campus, we aim to make a meaningful difference for animals and our community. We also want to give SDSU students a fun and welcoming space to meet new people, connect with animals, and explore animal-welfare interests and careers.​​

We are open to all students from all majors. Members of Aztecs for Animals can look forward to guest speakers from this industry, such as shelter directors, humane education experts, and other animal welfare professionals.
